I would never have vanity because I do not wear makeup and have no need for something like that.

30) There are no yards, but there are pazars where people sell their stuff.I would shop at the local pazaar or at the Akmerkez.

31) You see local gang art, a cool portrait, a love tag, or sometimes, even an anti american slur.

Hereke carpets are famous due their history. Hereke carpets are produced in a fishermans village, known as hereke, where the fisherman used special knotting techniques for certain tasks. The Royal Court Manufacturing company, in Hereke, was one of the first producers of silk carpets and they were located in Hereke, Turkey. So as the company monopolized the industry for high quality silk handmade carpets, the term Hereke began to be used as the title of any highquality hand made carpet; silk or wool, made in Turkey.
Hereke carpets are one of a kind due to the fact that none share the same exact design, but they may be similar. The common design of many Hereke carpets revolves around floral or animal patterns with a rich emphasis in bold and dark colors. Though dark, they still seem to radiate a certain brilliance of color. The quality of a Hereke rug is absolutely priceless as they are made to be fisherman durable so they easily last for centuries making it an easy traditional, inherited, pass me down in many families.
The key to Hereke carpets that explains their durability and makes them unique from any other carpet or rug in the world, is their knotting technique. Every Hereke loom is equipped and made to be able to perform the Turkish double knot which associates every thread with every other thread in the rug in one way or another. There are no 'loose' threads which is key to durability.
